The Harman AFC is fortunate to be operationally affiliated with the very professional and successful Queanbeyan Tigers. This affiliation came to fruition in 2000 after long negotiation by both parties with the governing body AFL (NSW/ACT) to allow player movement between the two clubs. The Queanbeyan Club is based on Queenbar Rd Queanbeyan and play in the AFL Canberra 1st, 2nd and U/18 Competitions as well as fielding many junior teams under the auspices of both the Queanbeyan and Jerrabomberra Tigers. Harman draws its title from the Naval base of the same name on Canberra Ave in the ACT and very close to the NSW border and Queanbeyan. 'The Hogs' play in the Canberra District League 1st and 2nd Divisions. The relationship between the two clubs is designed to allow for the unfettered movement of players (up and down grades) in accordance with the competitions by-laws as they would apply to a club fielding teams in all senior competitions. The Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations also mandates the autonomous administration of both Clubs with neither causing a burden to the other but working toward a mutually beneficial result.
